Anthony and Ernesta Chicklowski: A Family Legacy of Giving

For Anthony and Ernesta Chicklowski, giving back to others isn’t just something they do — it’s part of who they are. As owners of The Studio, a thriving creative space where local talent finds its voice through music and theater, the Chicklowskis have combined their passion for the arts with a deep commitment to helping children and families in need. Their story with Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) began with a spark of connection and has since become a shining example of how generosity can inspire lasting community impact.

“When we opened The Studio 10 years ago, we were growing the business and did a lot with other charities, but we never got The Studio involved,” Anthony said.

“Then I met Amelia Fox (LSF’s Chief Strategy Officer) at an event. She saw my enthusiasm, and I really wanted to do something to help, so we talked about sponsoring some kids that are less fortunate to be in either music or theater classes at The Studio.”

From there, Anthony and Ernesta’s generosity continued to grow. The couple started a drive to collect personal hygiene and baby care supplies to distribute to families through LSF’s seven Family Resource Centers in Hillsborough County. That winter, the couple also donated over 100 Christmas gifts to the families LSF serves.

In the summer of 2025, Anthony and Ernesta collected dozens of pairs of shoes, ensuring the kids were ready for back-to-school season in style.

“I think it is extremely important to always be spreading joy,” Ernesta said.

“Not all kids have access to the same things, so I want to make sure every child has opportunities. If we can level the playing field and make sure all kids have these opportunities, we know we’re doing the right thing.”

In addition to providing dozens of musical and theater scholarships to children, the Chicklowskis have sponsored LSF events, donated raffle items for fundraisers, and hosted networking opportunities to drive awareness about LSF in the community.

“We’ve also gotten Elite Rewards, the company I work for, involved so we can continue to help,” Anthony said. The couple said the bonds they’ve formed with the families they’ve met through LSF have truly changed their outlook on life.

“This is so unique, and it’s just bigger than yourself,” Ernesta said. “Watching a family whose child is in our program, there is so much pride on their faces. Seeing the piles of diapers and wipes grow and bringing them to the Family Resource Centers, that’s a big deal. It’s not just a box of stuff; this is meaningful to so many families.”

Anthony said his giving heart is a family trait.

“It was definitely the life purpose of my father. He was always giving back,” Anthony said. “I just want to help children who are less fortunate. My father was a special guy, and I really believe he is watching over me and guiding me to do all this.

Through their ongoing generosity and heart for service, Anthony and Ernesta continue to remind others that impactful giving starts with compassion and a willingness to act. Their partnership with Lutheran Services Florida demonstrates how one couple’s dedication can create ripples of hope — empowering children, enriching families, and nurturing communities for years to come.
