Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) Earns Family Friendly Business Award™
Status will give LSF an edge in competition to attract high quality applicants.

Tampa, FL – This month, LSF earned distinction for its workplace policies by Family Friendly Tampa Bay, a local initiative developed to recognize companies that have adopted policies that give Tampa Bay businesses and organizations an advantage in recruiting and retaining the best employees.
“LSF’s mission is to bring healing, help and hope to people in need. That mission starts with how we care for our own people. This recognition affirms that LSF is a place that invests in its workforce, not just in its programs,” shared Diane Fox, LSF Vice President of Talent Management. “We are proud of this designation and grateful to every employee who makes LSF a place worth recognizing.”
The Family Friendly Tampa Bay initiative offers resources to organizations on how to implement more family friendly policies and recognizes organizations that offer their employees family friendly benefits.
“Implementing family-friendly policies serves to benefit employees and employers alike and is crucial to insuring a healthy, whole, and motivated workforce” said Dr. Diana Santangelo, Director of Thrive by Five. “Studies continue to show that costs associated with creating family friendly benefits are outweighed by improved productivity, employee morale and retention. We are happy to recognize LSF as a leader in implementing family friendly policies.”
LSF was evaluated across a wide range of workplace practices. A few highlights worth noting:
- Emergency grants have been made available to employees facing hardships from events like hurricanes, providing direct financial support when it matters most.
- Wellness by Wealthspire and LSF Be Well extends financial and health resources to all employees.
- UKG Wallet gives employees early access to earned wages and free 1:1 financial coaching, supporting financial stability between pay periods.
- LSF’s retirement plan includes the Thrive option, allowing employees to direct employer contributions toward student loan repayment.
These are not standard offerings. They reflect a deliberate commitment to supporting employees beyond the minimum.
