In response to the need for affordable immigration counseling and assistance services, Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) and accredited Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) representatives help people navigate the complex immigration system. This system can be overwhelming and confusing, especially for newcomers who are unfamiliar with United States’ laws and regulations. LSF is here to help, whether it is obtaining assistance to understand important legal matters, submitting and tracking proper visa applications, or ensuring newcomers obtain the right status for employment in the United States.
LSF counselors assist clients with:
- Work Permits
- Immigrant Petitions
- Applications for Citizenship
- Family Reunification
- General Immigration Counseling
Post-Release Services for Unaccompanied Minors
Our immigration services also extend to the many unaccompanied minors that arrive here to the United States. Immigrating to a new country can be intimidating and scary, especially for unaccompanied minors that cross the border into the United States at no fault of their own, with no family or support network to assist them. Building on our core belief in strengthening communities and families, LSF works with partners, federal authorities, and sponsors to provide high quality post-release services for unaccompanied children in federal custody. These services promote child well-being and safety through a series of comprehensive supportive services.
