Lutheran Services Florida Announces Peter Howard will Lead Sarasota Guardianship Program

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) has hired a familiar face to be the new Executive Director of their Guardianship program in Sarasota. Peter Howard has deep ties in the Sarasota community with 35 years of experience in social services.

FK Your Diet Restaurant to host Thanksgiving dinner for Foster & Shelter Youth

Between 25-50 local teens with no immediate family to spend the Thanksgiving holiday will be treated to a family Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings thanks to FK Your Diet.
Owners Doug Miller and Amy Eldridge opened FK Your Diet in Lee County early this year, the FK stands for Foster Kids. They have pledged 5 percent of FK Your Diet’s revenue to community organizations that serve children and youth in the local child welfare system.

LSF Rolls Out New Online Application for Head Start/ Early Head Start Programs

LSF Head Start is now accepting online applications for our Head Start programs located in Duval, Hillsborough, Palm Beach and Pinellas counties serving more than 7,000 children and families. This shift from paper to online will make the application process easier for families enrolling. In addition, this will save time and make it convenient for families to apply from anywhere.
