Lutheran Services Florida is proud to partner with Eckerd Community Alternatives, Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, and Florida Department of Children and Families to help ensure the safety and security of children – and strengthen families – through foster care.

Whether through prevention services, in-home supervision, or out-of-home placement and supervision, we do everything with the goal of addressing abuse or neglect to ensure that Florida’s children remain safe.

In order to help create new foster homes, LSF…

• Recruits new foster homes and parents willing to care for a child in need.
• Trains potential foster families through our Model Approach to Positive Parenting (MAPP).
• Licenses foster families through home studies, home visits, and inspections.
• Provides support activities and resources to foster families to ensure they are satisfied and happy with their experience.
