Excel 21st Century  Program

The goal of the Excel 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) program is to provide opportunities for our students to participate in out of school time programming that emphasizes academically enriching activities that fosters academic and social youth development in a safe and secure environment.

About

Students will be provided Academic Enrichment utilizing 21st Century Technology Based Reading, Math, Science, Technology and Engineering Curriculums.  Students are also provided Personal Enrichment opportunities including Physical Education, Health/Nutrition, Arts, Performing Arts, Music, Culture, Drop Out Prevention and Social Skills Training.  Students will participate in 8 field trips throughout the year.

    • 7am – 8am (before school)
    • 2:35pm – 6:35pm (after school)
    • 11:30am – 6:30pm (half-day program)
    • 7:30am – 5pm (select holidays)
    • 7:30am – 5pm (summer program)

Reporting and Evaluations

Program Objectives

  • Objective 1
    • 80% of regularly participating students will improve to a satisfactory English Language Arts Grade or above or maintain a high grade across the program year
  • Objective 2
    • 80% of regularly participating students will improve to a satisfactory Math Grade or above or maintain a high grade across the program year
  • Objective 3
    • 80% of regularly participating students will improve to a satisfactory Science Grade or above or maintain a high grade across the program year
  • Objective 4
    • 80% of regularly participating students in 3rd grade will achieve promotion based on their performance on the FSA
  • Objective 5
    • 80% of regularly participating students will meet or exceed proficiency in their physical and personal wellness as measured by curriculum based assessments
  • Objective 6
    • 75% of regularly participating family members will increase their parenting skills as measured by curriculum based assessment
  • Objective 7
    • 70% of regularly participating parents will increase their parental involvement as measured by sign-in sheets at monthly family events.
  • Objective 8
    • 90% of regularly participating students will improve their visual arts skills as measured by curriculum based assessments.
  • Objective 9
    • 80% of regularly participating students will improve their engagement in career exploration as measured by curriculum based assessment
