Susan Main, CEO and President of Early Learning Coalition of Duval received a Lifetime Achievement Award from LSF Head Start for her 17 years of service. Main has served thousands of families and children across Duval County in her role and has been a resolute champion for early childhood education initiatives such as Head Start and Early Head Start. Over the course of her career, Main has held leadership roles with several organizations and committees including the Association of Early Learning Coalitions and the Duval Early Learning Director’s Network.

Among Main’s proudest achievements was the development of a comprehensive quality improvement and rating system, Guiding Stars of Duval, which helped an entire community of child care organizations improve their services. However, her fondest memories are of the children and her staff. “It has been a privilege to serve Duval County’s youngest citizens and those who provide them with quality child care in our beloved community,” said Main.  “I am incredibly proud of the work we have done and I want to personally thank the child care providers, community partners and…most importantly, thanks to my unbelievable staff, who each and every day live our core values and serve with unwavering commitment.”
