Lutheran Services Florida is happy to celebrate 40 years of building healthier, happier, hope-filled tomorrows.
Recently we continued our multi-city celebration in Fort Myers. Staff members, families, volunteers, and local officials all attended to spend time together and reflect on the ways that LSF has had an impact over the last four decades.
Mayor Kevin Anderson attended the festivities to show his appreciation and support of the more than 1,200 employees across the state who work hard every day to bring hope and healing to the state’s most vulnerable.


The event took place at the Collaboratory and was catered by one of LSF’s own employees Hope Abreu, a Youth and Mentoring Coordinator for refugee services.
LSF is a non-profit organization transforming lives by ensuring safe children, strong families, and vibrant communities. Headquartered in Tampa, FL and founded in 1982, LSF touches the lives of nearly 1 in 50 Floridians every year through more than 60 programs, including:
- Early education
- youth shelters
- foster care
- refugee and resettlement services
- substance abuse mental health services
- adult guardianship
