Living in Florida, our community knows full well how devastating and life altering hurricanes and flooding can be. When disaster strikes, LSF works diligently to assist our vulnerable client population and our dedicated staff who have been impacted. 

AN URGENT SITUATION

Hurricane Ian made landfall on the Gulf Coast on September 28th as a category 4 storm of massive size spanning almost the entire state of Florida. Ian left a wake of devastation in its path due to high wind and tornados, 20+ inches of rain in some places, and catastrophic storm surge and flooding, impacting tens of thousands of people. The full scope of the human toll and physical damage is only beginning to be grasped.

• Please pray for the communities impacted by Hurricane Ian. May God’s healing presence give them peace and hope in their time of need. Pray that God will deliver comfort to those who mourn and strength to those working diligently to assist those in danger.

We are acting to quickly meet the many needs that have arisen among our dedicated staff who are called upon to serve our vulnerable clients. 100% of your donation will be used to assist us in recovering from Hurricane Ian. Short-term immediate needs include clean water, food and emergency supplies, temporary shelter for those displaced, and other basic necessities. Long-term needs will include clean-up and rebuilding, working with families in their recovery plans, and providing guidance, hope and comfort throughout.
