troubled teens. Programs include short-term, residential shelters for
runaways and troubled youth (ages 10-17) as well as both individual and
family counseling.

LSF
helps adolescents stay alive and out of the juvenile justice system through
its prevention and intervention activities. Recent studies have shown an 82%
success rate of youth returning home to their families to rebuild their
lives following their stay at LSF shelters. In addition to providing
temporary shelter, counseling, and case management services, LSF is also a
designated SAFE PLACE agency and, as such, serves as a partner with local
businesses and schools to help youth in trouble. Project SAFE PLACE is a
national network of voluntary community sites where youth in need of help
can go for safe refuge.
(Read more about Safe Place here.) LSF is the designated SAFE PLACE provider in areas
with LSF shelters.
