LSF's Family Preservation Program was developed specifically for the purpose of keeping families intact. The Program serves multi-problem families with children who have been identified as victims of child abuse and neglect. The Program is family centered and offers individual and family counseling, as well as social work services that are timely, intense, and home-based.

Master's level professionals and trained staff provide a full range of services including:

• Crisis Intervention and Stabilization

• In-Home Counseling

• Case Management

• Family Reunification

• Teaching Parenting Skills

• Availability 24 Hours Every Day

• Aftercare, 6-12 months

The Family Preservation Program has helped stop the cycle of abuse for many families. Recent studies show that 90% of the families participating in Family Builders have no reoccurrence of abuse after one year.

Through the Program, counseling and case management are used as tools to empower participating families by providing them with the skills, information, and support necessary to solve their own problems and reach goals that they set for themselves.
