Lutheran Services Florida Gets Highest Score from State in S. Florida Child Welfare Bid

Weitzel Lutheran Services Florida (LSF), a statewide human services agency with offices in Miami and Perrine, has received the highest score from the Florida Department of Children and Families of two proposals submitted to become the Community-Based Care (CBC) Lead Agency for child welfare services in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. The score for LSF was 129.75, which was 7.21 points higher than the bid from Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc., the current Lead Agency for both counties. Both organizations have been invited to negotiate with the Florida Department during the week of Feb. 23 in Miami.
