to Lutheran Services in America Board
6 May 2009 - TLW
Samuel
Sipes, President and CEO for Lutheran Services Florida (LSF), has been
elected to serve on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Services in America
(LSA), a Baltimore-based alliance of nearly 300 social ministry
organizations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America. Sipes was one of three social ministry
executives elected during LSA's annual meeting April 30 in Washington, D.C.
"We are really pleased that Sam will be joining the LSA Board," said LSA
President and CEO Jill Schumann. "Sam brings a passion for the work of
the church in social ministry, broad experience across several parts of the
country and many different types of services, experience at the national
level, and an entrepreneurial spirit."
Sipes was elected to a three year term on the LSA Board, which begins July
1. The LSA Board of Directors consists of 18 members.
