Good Samaritan
Dinner
to be Held in
Tampa Oct. 14

Lutheran Services Florida
(LSF) announced today it will hold its annual Good Samaritan Awards Dinner
on Sunday, October 14th, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church located at 5601
Hanley Rd in Tampa. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Silent Auction
to benefit the local LSF programs. Auction items include jewelry, dinners at
local restaurants, art works, and collectibles. For further information,

The event, a joint celebration of the ELCA and LCMS congregations, honors
outstanding Lutheran volunteers in the Tampa Bay area who have shown
compassion for others and dedication to their faith through generous
actions. Mr. Samuel M. Sipes, LSF President and CEO, will present special
awards to the following people:

Lutheran Services Florida is a statewide, non-profit, human services agency
dedicated to helping all people in need in Florida regardless of religious
affiliation, age, or national origin. The Agency, headquartered in Tampa,
has 60 programs located throughout the state. Since the Agency was
established in 1982, nearly 800,000 people in needat-risk children, the
frail elderly, troubled youth, refugees and immigrants, families in crisis,
and victims of natural disastershave received assistance from the vital
programs and services offered by Lutheran Services Florida. During the past
year alone, more than 60,000 people in need improved their lives with aid
from Lutheran Services Florida.
