Good Samaritan
Dinner
to Be Held in
Tampa Oct. 15
(Tampa,
October 9, 2006) Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) announced today it will hold
its annual Good Samaritan Dinner on Sunday, October 15th, at Christ Our Redeemer
Lutheran Church located at 304 Druid Hills Road in Temple Terrace. The event
will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Silent Auction to benefit the local LSF programs.
Auction items include jewelry, dinners at local restaurants, cruises, and hotel
packages. For further information, please contact the LSF Church and Community

The event, a joint celebration of the ELCA and LCMS congregations, honors
outstanding Lutheran volunteers in the Tampa Bay area who have shown compassion
for others and dedication to their faith through generous actions. Mr. James A.
Wells, LSF President and CEO, will present special awards to the following
people:

Lutheran Services Florida is a statewide, non-profit, human services agency
dedicated to helping all people in need in Florida regardless of religious
affiliation, age, or national origin. The Agency, headquartered in Tampa, has 60
programs located throughout the state. Since the Agency was established in 1982,
nearly 750,000 people in needat-risk children, the frail elderly, troubled
youth, refugees and immigrants, families in crisis, and victims of natural
disastershave received assistance from the vital programs and services offered
by Lutheran Services Florida. During the past year alone, more than 50,000
people in need improved their lives with aid from Lutheran Services Florida.
